Tahiti - 30 July 2024

This is a short blog. It was a rolly rocky night at the marina and we were moving around quite a bit. I dropped Andy at the airport at 5.30am and picked up Corinne and Mark and we returned to Stormbird for breakfast and/or bread and croissant etc .

We sorted ourselves out and I showed Mark and Corrine around the marina. I returned the hire car and packed for leaving for home. The riggers came and had a look at what they needed to. We had a light lunch and then rested.

The winds were from the southwest which meant a rolly marina and waves were really breaking over the reef. Hopefully normal trade winds will resume and the marina will be quiet again.

We went for happy hour at the marina and a good supper.

It is time for me to fly home so I will be back on the 18th August and will start blogging again on 19th August. So between now and then enjoy and I will be back with Stormbird’s adventures in due course.

Crewing Opportunity Year Two

In addition, in year two I will be going from New Zealand in early January 2025 across to Sydney and up the Eastern Australian Coast, Indonesia and probably across the Indian Ocean to Cape Town and I will need some more crew.

If there is any interest do email me at  hine.nick9@gmail.com

The blog will continue as we move through French Polynesia and beyond.
