Change of Crew - Gran Canaria

It was another typical day in La Palmas weather wise – warm and cloudy – very predictable which is good as you can normally plan your day.

After breakfast Mark and Corinne headed off to the old town for lunch as Corinne was flying back in the evening. They found a mushroom type restaurant and enjoyed their lunch and time in the old town.

Alex (my son) and Ben (my cousin) were flying out to join us that evening so there was the usual cleaning and washing etc Once done Jules and I walked to El Corte Ingles and shopped a bit and had lunch in their restaurant which was pleasant although the service was slow. This was followed by a nice ice cream. We returned to the boat and Corinne was preparing to leave. We said our goodbyes and off she went by taxi to the airport. It was apparently very busy with no doubt families returning to the UK before schools starts.

Mark, Jules and I chilled pending the arrival of Alex and Ben. We had curried chicken and linguine which was different but enjoyable and played games. Alex and Ben arrived at about 9.00pm and were starving so they had the same supper as there was plenty left. It was good to see them and they had both had quite turbulent journeys.

We chatted and chilled and went to bed missing Corinne. I am not sure where the day went but it did and we enjoyed ourselves and were now ready to explore more of the Island.
